T20I rankings: Babar breaks into top 10, Pakistan second best side

Babar Azam leapfrogged 21 spots to secure career-best number six spot in the T20I ICC Player Rankings for batsmen after he scored 179 runs to help Pakistan beat ICC World XI in a landmark series this week.


Azam begun the three-match series, which was held in Lahore, with a classy 86 and followed it up by 45 and 48 to finish as the highest run-getter and bag Man of the Series award.


Imad Wasim retained the number one spot in the T20I ICC Player Rankings for bowlers.


West Indian batsman Evin Lewis jumped a place to career-best second spot with his 51 against England in the one-off T20I played on Saturday.


With the West Indian side defeating England by 21 runs, the Eoin Morgan-led side slips to the fourth spot from the second. Pakistan move up a place to secure the second place with the West Indies occupying the third.


New Zealand top the chart.
