Haris Rauf is likely to miss the next two to three HBL Pakistan Super League matches for Lahore Qalandars after suffering an injury in his right foot.
The right-arm speedster complained of pain on the inner side of his right heel following the enthralling encounter between Qalandars and Islamabad United at the Gaddafi Stadium on Sunday.
Fortunately for the Qalandars, scans ruled out any signs of a fracture but he has been advised by the medical panel to rest in order to nurse his stress reaction.
Rauf featured in both the matches his team have played in the HBL PSL 2020 thus far, picking up three wickets and conceding at an economy rate of a shade over 10.
Rauf has been replaced with former Qalandars recruit Salman Irshad in the line-up. Salman comes in as a silver category player and has previously turned out for the Lahore-based franchise in three matches in the 2018 edition of the T20 league.
Salman broke into the Qalandars team through the franchise's much-hyped player development programme.
Qalandars also have the option of roping in pacer Dilbar Hussain as a like-for-like replacement for Rauf in the playing XI.
Still in search of their first win in the tournament, their next clash is against Peshawar Zalmi in Rawalpindi today.
