Yasir Shah named injured Mohammad Mohsin's replacement in Peshawar Zalmi squad

Yasir Shah has been named as replacement for injured Mohammad Mohsin in the Peshawar Zalmi squad, it was announced in a press release by the Pakistan Cricket Board.

According to the press release, the 23-year-old leg-spinner had split the webbing between his middle and ring fingers while fielding in the recent clash between Peshawar Zalmi and Lahore Qalandars, which was won by Peshawar. Mohsin is likely to miss the action for a week.

The replacement was approved by the event’s technical committee which includes PCB CEO Wasim Khan, Bazid Khan, Marina Iqbal, Sameer Khosa and Dr Sohail Saleem.

Mohsin, who was snapped up by Peshawar Zalmi in the silver category, has so far played two games for his side and picked up one wicket of Cameron Delport against Karachi Kings.

Yasir Shah, who went unpicked in the player draft for this year’s season, has represented Lahore Qalandars in three editions (2017 – 2019). So far, he has taken 23 wickets at an average of 25.21 in the PSL.
