Mushfiqur Rahim has returned to Bangladesh's side for the two-match T20I series against Zimbabwe after missing the previous T20I assignment against Pakistan.
Mushfiqur had refused to travel to Pakistan for the three T20I matches in late January citing safety concerns. His inclusion adds much-needed experience to Bangladesh's fragile middle-order, which was exposed for its technical deficiencies in Pakistan.
The selectors have called up uncapped left-arm spinner Nasum Ahmed for their 15-man squad. He has been inducted in the team as a back-up.
"Nasum was always in our consideration since he did well in the last BPL," said chief selector Minhajul Abedin, referring to the Bangladesh Premier League.
All-rounder Mohammad Saifuddin has been recalled, having been rendered out of action for several months following the injury blow during last year's World Cup.
Mohammad Mithun, Nazmul Hossain and Rubel Hossain have faced the axe for the Zimbabwe T20Is.
The two matches will be conducted at Dhaka's Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on March 9 and 11.
The home side currently lead the ODI series 2-0 and triumphed in the preceding one-off Test by a comfortable margin of an innings and 106 runs.
