Hafeez reported for suspected bowling action yet again

Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez has been reported for bowling with a suspect action during the third of the five ODIs between Pakistan and Sri Lanka at Abu Dhabhi. This is the third time in three years that the off-spinner has come under scrutiny for his bowling action.

The 37-year-old will undergo testing within 14 days, however, he is allowed to bowl till then, an ICC media release revealed on Thursday.

Hafeez was first reported for bowling with a fishy action in December 2014 but an independent reassessment found his action to be legal and he was allowed to resume bowling from April 2015.

He was banned from bowling for 12 months from July 2015 after his action was reported for the second time within 24 months during the Galle Test between Sri Lanka and Pakistan in June that year.

He worked on his action during the phase and a reassessment in November 2016 at the National Cricket Centre in Brisbane, Australia got him cleared.
