A 32-ball fifty from Awais Zia helped FATA cruise past Peshawar – giving them a six-wicket win in their first game of the tournament.
After being put in to bat first, Peshawar notched up 164 after 20 overs. Few contributions at the top from Israrullah, Navid Yasin and a late cameo by the likes of Musadiq Ahmed got Peshawar to a decent total.
Ahmed Jamal and Usama Mir picked two wickets each whereas Asif Afridi and Sohail Akhtar settled with one wicket each.
Awais Zia, in reply smashed a 32-ball fifty including eight fours and a maximum. Other batters chipped in with their contributions, specifically Hammad Azam whose unbeaten 27-ball 38 saw FATA chasing down the total with seven balls to spare.
