A 93-run opening stand between Kamran Akmal and Sami Aslam helped Lahore Whites to their first win of the National T20 Cup in a match against Karachi Whites.
Akmal and Aslam provided the Salman Butt-led Lahore Whites a scintillating start with their 52 and 56 in the chase of Karachi Whites’ 163/8. However, the middle-order failed to capitalise on the platform provided by the two openers with Raza Dar’s 15 being the third highest score of the innings.
With eight needed off the last over, Aamer Yamin and Amad Butt won the match for Lahore Whites with two balls remaining and three wickets in hands.
Earlier Khurram Manzoor scored a blistering 64 from 43 balls while opening the batting for the Sarfraz Ahmed-led Karachi Whites. The captain struck a vital 39 out of 26 balls in the middle-order before falling in the last over.
