Veteran India all-rounder Suresh Raina has formally announced his retirement from international cricket, minutes after MS Dhoni also wrote the same message on Instagram.
"It was nothing but lovely playing with you, @mahi7781. With my heart full of pride, I choose to join you in this journey. Thank you India. Jai Hind!," his social media post read.
Raina's last international appearance came a little over two years ago when he received a call-up during the England tour in 2018 but failed to make an impact in the middle-order.
Despite stepping down from the international arena, he will be engaged in the upcoming Indian Premier League where he will be representing Chennai Super Kings alongside skipper Dhoni.
Raina is one of India's most decorated cricketers as he enjoyed astounding success in his illustrious career, particularly in the white-ball formats.
The 33-year-old was part of India's squads in their triumphant 2011 World Cup campaign and their 2013 Champions Trophy win.
