Kamran Akmal stood out with his impressive 65 off 37 balls in Lahore Whites’ comfortable 28-run victory over Rawalpindi.
Akmal and Butt opened the batting after the latter won the toss but Salman failed very early in his innings, caught by Umar Amin off Abbas’ bowling. Sami Aslam and Umer Akmal did well to hang around Kamran who struck seven fours and four maximums to get the total to 178.
Rawalpindi batsmen didn’t look in control in their run chase except for Umar Amin who showed some fight with 35(23). Rest of the batters chipped in with their 20’s but couldn’t come up with a match winning knock. Umaid Asif, Wahab Riaz and Bilal Asif picked up two wickets each.
Kamran Akmal, undoubtedly, was declared as man of the match.
