Balochistan have made two changes to their squad for the ongoing National T20 Cup as the round-robin phase of the tournament gradually comes towards its conclusion.
Umaid Asif has been omitted from the line-up owing to his poor run of form, which has seen him pick up a solitary wicket in five games.
19-year-old rookie paceman Akhtar Shah has replaced the veteran Umaid with the youngster witnessing a series of prolific outings in the Second XI National T20 Cup.
Shah performed well in the second division competition by taking seven wickets in three matches at an impressive average of 12.14.
Meanwhile, Akif Javed will not feature in Balochistan's team after sustaining a knee injury during his side's four-wicket defeat to Sindh on Sunday.
The Islamabad United-capped Akif had been an integral member of the Balochistan set-up this season and has been replaced with fast bowler Taj Wali, who also excelled in the Second XI National T20 Cup.
Balochistan are currently ranked No. 4 in the points table and require just one more victory to ensure their place in the semi-finals. They can still qualify for the knockouts if they are able to maintain a superior net run rate over the teams below their standing.
