England paceman Saqib Mahmood has replaced compatriot Liam Livingstone in the Peshawar Zalmi squad for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) playoffs.
Livingstone, who played seven games for Zalmi in the round-robin stage of the tournament earlier this year, has been selected in England's ODI squad for the South Africa tour.
The call-up to the national side means Livingstone will have to accompany the touring party that lands in South Africa on November 16.
Meanwhile, Mahmood was surprisingly left out of England's limited-overs squads despite playing a handful of games during the international home summer.
His inclusion in the Zalmi squad adds depth to their fast bowling department, which harbours the presence of Hasan Ali, Wahab Riaz, Rahat Ali and Proteas quick Hardus Viljoen.
Mahmood expressed his excitement at visiting Pakistan and indulging in his maiden stint in an overseas T20 league as the PSL action will commence on November 14.
Zalmi will lock horns with third-ranked Lahore Qalandars in the PSL eliminator while Karachi Kings and Multan Sultans will face off in the Qualifier. All matches will be staged behind closed doors.
