A hat-trick from Andrew Tye followed by a calculated half-century from Ashton Turner (52 off 27) were critical in securing the six-wicket win for Scorchers over Sydney Sixers.
Scorchers' decision to bowl first paid the dividends as Sixers were reduced to 46-5 in seven overs before Andrew Tye finished things off with his hat-trick to reduces Sixers to mere 132.
Maddinson was the top-scorer for his 31 off 33 balls.
During the run-chase, Sean Abbott caused bit of problems with his three wickets but that didn't do much damage to the Scorchers as Turner stood out with his unbeaten half-century to see his team home with eleven balls to spare.
Turner was undoubtedly named man of the match for his crucial innings.
