Mitchell Johnson and Andrew Tye played a crucial role in Scorchers’ three-wicket victory over Melbourne Renegades.
Scorchers, after winning the toss opted to bowl first and it was their bowling which restricted the opposition to a mere 130 by the end of 20 overs. Mitchell Johnson and Andrew Tye chipped in with three wickets each to hamper Renegades’ progress.
In reply, Willey and Klinger provided a decent start before Willey was knocked over by Brad Hogg. Scorchers lost seven wickets but Turner ensured that they secure a win over Renegades.
Johnson was declared man of the match for his three wickets.
