A clinical performance from Sydney Thunders ensured 57-run thumping over Hobart Hurricanes in the 11th match of the Big Bash League.
After being put in to bat first, Thunders lost Patterson early but Jos Buttler was ruthless in his stroke play, thumping 67 off just 41 balls. He was supported well by his skipper, Shane Watson, who made 41 off 35 to push the total to 166 by the end of 20 overs.
Hurricanes were never in control with their run-chase, as they kept on losing wickets at regular intervals. A total of five bowlers were utilized by Watson and interestingly, each one of them picked two wickets each. Hurricanes’ innings ended with three balls to spare.
Buttler was named man of the match for his scintillating innings.
