Islamabad United have unearthed another potential star for the future, as left-arm spinner Zafar Gohar put up a splendid performance in his debut game for the side. Playing his first match this season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Zafar showcased great courage by flighting up deliveries to hard-hitting batsmen.
The 23-year-old ended up with terrific figures of 3/25 in his 4 overs. One of his scalps was Peshawar Zalmi skipper Darren Sammy, who was completely bamboozled by a sharp-turning delivery that pitched on leg-stump and took the top of off.
Zafar is infamously remembered for missing out on a Test debut, after he overslept and missed the flight to U.A.E during the series against England. It seems that the youngster has learned from his past mistakes, and could possibly feature in the national team soon.
