Pakistan promising left-hand batsman, Imam-ul-Haq has had a good start to his new ODI career. Imam, who was criticized for his selection for being the nephew of chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq, has proved his critics wrong with his performances.
The 22-year-old has already claimed the record of scoring four centuries in his first nine matches. Now he needs another 197 runs in the next two innings to smash the record of scoring the quickest 1000 ODI runs, which is held by his opening partner, Fakhar Zaman.
Imam currently stands with the total of 803 runs in 15 matches, though in order to get to 1000 runs in next two innings, he would need to score big in at least one of the matches. The series against New Zealand will provide a great challenge for the youngster to face one of the best bowling attacks in the world.
