Melbourne Renegades, franchise of Big Bash League (BBL), has acquired the services of Pakistani paceman Usman Shinwari and England’s Harry Gurney for the forthcoming edition of Australia’s premier T20 competition.
Shinwari, who played 9 ODIs and 13 T20Is for Pakistan, has been a top performer of the domestic circuit. Even in the last edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL), the 24-year old quick bowled extremely well for Karachi Kings to become the highest wicket-taker for his side. The fast-bowler is hopeful to learn a lot by featuring in a top T20 league like BBL.
Speaking of his signing, the Khyber Agency born cricketer said, ““I have watched the Big Bash with interest in recent years and I’ve been impressed with the quality of the competition. I’m hoping I can bring something different to the team with my bowling and help the Renegades push for success.”
