Although the New Zealand Cricket Team did not play a lot of cricket before the series against Pakistan, they have still shown utter determination to put up a strong challenge to Pakistan.
In the 1st ODI at Abu Dhabi, the Kiwis once again looked up to one of their Hugely popular star player Ross Taylor. The Kiwi batting mainstay again proved to be a menace for Pakistan and reconstructed the New Zealand's innings by scoring 80 runs at a situation where they were struggling after the loss of 3 wickets.
Impressively, since the infamous catch drop in Palekelle, Taylor has scored 793 runs against Pakistan at an average of 99.12 runs. This is a mighty brilliant statistic and hopefully Pakistan would have plans in the next ODI to tackle Taylor’s threat.
