The stalwart of Peshawar Zalmi won’t be playing for the same team in the upcoming edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) as he announced his departure from the league on his social media account. He received many messages on his exit where people lauded him for his performances.
Veteran Pakistani all-rounder with 671 runs is the second highest run-getter for Peshawar’s franchise. Apart from his services with bat, the 38-year old all-rounder shined with the leather as well as he bagged 7 wickets at an economy of a shade under 14.
For his superlative services to the Zalmi franchise, Peshawar’s head coach Mohammad Akram thanked the experienced cricketer. Recalling the journey with the Sargodha born cricketer, 44-year old coach added that Hafeez’s company and insights will be dearly missed along with his family who was always behind Peshawar Zalmi.
