Pakistani-born Australian cricketer Usman Khawaja, who had injured his left knee last month, on Thursday expressed that he is likely to return in the four-match Test series against India in early December.
There were speculations that the injury will keep him out of the India series. But Khawaja is confident that he will come back soon.
“My recovery is going really well so far. I am trying to keep it cool, but it is actually going really well. If I keep doing the little things right – looking after my body, being disciplined – hopefully that will transition to me coming back in time,” he said.
The 31-year-old batsman had represented Australia in 35 Tests, 18 One-day Internationals (ODIs) and 9 Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is).
