Pakistan finally broke the 12-match losing streak against New Zealand in the ODI format and that too at the back of an emphatic win. Chasing moderate total of just 210 runs, Pakistan comfortably chased it down with the six wickets in hand.
Pakistan had the visitors sweat for runs in the middle overs by some tight bowling. Young leg-spinner Shadab Khan once again showed his class by producing an economical spell of bowling.
Shadab, in his quota of 10 overs, finished his spell by conceding just 25 runs while taking one wicket. The 20-year-old with his brilliantly disguised googlies kept Kiwi senior batsman, Ross Taylor at bay. He had such control over his line and length that he didn’t even concede a single boundary while keeping a tight leash over the New Zealand batsmen.
