Just before the start of the second ODI match against New Zealand, Pakistan was jolted with an injury setback to fast bowler, Junaid Khan. The pace spearhead suffered a toe injury on his right foot and will be out of the series.
According to PCB physio team, Juniad got an infection in his second toe finger of his right foot and will not be able to play the second and third ODI. Faheem Ashraf thus replaced him in Pakistan’s 6-wicket win in the second game.
The PCB hasn’t called up any replacement for Junaid yet. The 28-year-old hasn’t had the best first ODI match as he went for 56 runs without taking a wicket.
