The hero of the 2012 Asia Cup final Aizaz Cheema is struggling to find a place in the national team even after glistening in the domestic circuit. The nippy pacer played few games for Quetta Gladiators in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) before being spurned in the subsequent editions.
After a stellar show in the domestic cricket, the 39-year old has his eyes set to make an appearance in the Pakistan’s T20 extravaganza. He understands the aging factor but feels that the burning desire to do well coupled with his fitness makes him keep going.
“Number of wickets I’ve taken in the ongoing season tells my performance and fitness. Age is just a number. I’m working hard in domestic to aim a comeback in the Pakistan team and to feature in PSL as well. Like I bowled the match winning spell in Asia Cup, I also performed for Quetta Gladiators,” said by the Sargodha born paceman.
