After a confidence-crushing defeat at the hands of New Zealand in the 1st ODI, Pakistan Cricket Team has made a strong comeback in the 2nd match. The Green Shirts impressively bowled the Kiwis out for just 209 runs courtesy of a match-winning bowling performance from young Shaheen Afridi.
The chase though was led by opener Fakhar Zaman who displayed grit and courage to disturb the line and lengths of Trent Boult and Tim Southee. Here it is important to remember that Fakhar has been in terrible form on UAE pitches but he shut his critics up with a well-disciplined knock of 88 runs in the 2nd ODI.
Fakhar’s incredulous knock received plaudits from former batsman Mohammad Wasim who took to Twitter to congratulate the left-handed batsman on a fine return to form.
