The ICC Women's T20 tournament has already begun with the first match between India and New Zealand proving to be a one-sided affair in favor of the Indians.
Moreover, the Indian team's magnificent victory was mainly down to Harmanpreet Kaur's breathtaking innings of 103 runs of 51 balls. It is less often that one would find a century scored in a T20 format but Kaur defied all the norms to stamp her authority at the start of the tournament. Her carnage included 8 sixes and 7 fours in what was a fiery display of batting prowess from the Indian batting mainstay.
With Kaur powering India to a towering total of 194, the chances of the Indian side winning rose significantly as New Zealand buckled under pressure and were restricted to only 160 runs.
