Former Indian cricketer Shanthakumaran Sreesanth’s wife Bhuvneshwari Sreesanth has written an open letter to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to get its support for her husband, it was learnt on Wednesday.
She took to Twitter (unverified account) to share the copy of the letter. “Heart to Heart message for #SreeFam. A False accusation can ruin a person’s life,” she wrote in the post.
In the letter, Bhuvneshwari defended Sreesanth saying that the former India pacer was not involved in the 2013 Indian Premier League (IPL) spot-fixing case and asked that why he is being punished for something he never did.
The right-arm bowler was banned for life by the BCCI for his alleged role in the case in September 2013.
