Paarl Rocks beat Durban Heat by 32 runs (DLS method) in the 14th match of the Mzansi Super League (MSL) on Wednesday. Rocks reached 98 for 2 in nine overs with the help of Henry Davids (46 off 25 balls) and Aiden Markram (29 off 20 balls). Davids hit three sixes and four boundaries.
Rain reduced the match to nine overs. On DLS the total was revised and Heat were chasing 113 from their nine overs.
Heat’s batsmen failed to bat responsibly and led their side finish at 80 for 6 in the stipulated nine overs. Davids was named player of the match. Heat will now take on Jozi Stars in Johannesburg on Friday.
