The Pakistan cricket team has been struggling to find another regular spin for the Test team as Yasir Shah is often burdened with the spin department’s responsibility. Off-spinner Bilal Asif showed some potential on his debut for Pakistan as he took 6 wickets in an innings against Australia.
However, the spinner had not been able to continue his form with the ball since then as he only took 5 wickets in the next 8 innings. Fans were not happy with his performances off late as many urged the PCB to drop him as the second spinner.
Giving a shut up call to his critics, Bilal has shown once again why he was included in the side in the first place as he took a fifer against New Zealand in the ongoing Abu Dhabi Test.
The off-spinner took 5 wickets by giving away only 65 runs in the first innings which was also a relief for the captain Sarfraz Ahmed as he got the room to use Yasir less often than usual.
