Pakistan slumped to a 9-wicket loss in the second Test against South Africa as the hosts gained an unassailable lead in the series. With the result of another away tour going against Pakistan, former cricketer-turned-commentator Ramiz Raja has called out some important lessons to learn from the defeat.
Ramiz has highlighted important changes to be made in the batting order to produce fruitful results in the future. He has also made the daring call to drop Azhar Ali if necessary to include either Mohammad Rizwan or Faheem Ashraf into the playing XI.
On the other hand, the 56-year-old focused on India’s historic series triumph in Australia, especially focusing on Kuldeep Yadav’s spin magic in the final Test at Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG). He has spoken of a winning mindset and a professional environment created in Indian cricket which has allowed them to perform so well on a tough away tour.
