Pakistan cricket team captain Sarfraz Ahmed has been under the pump off late as his individual performances have not been up to the mark which has contributed to the struggles of the team.
The Test side has had a disappointing outing in South Africa so far as the batsmen seem clueless in front of the pace and bounce of the pitches.
Member of the cricket committee and former skipper Wasim Akram has come out in support of the Pakistan captain as he feels that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) should persist with the wicket-keeper batsman as he has led the team to some great victories in the past.
Akram also said that if someone feels that there is a better option for the team, then it needs to be put forward instead of just criticizing Sarfraz.
The former swing king is going to start his own cricket academy in Multan as he aims to prepare bouncy pitches there so that the players could benefit from them before an overseas tour.
