With the growing popularity of the game of cricket, cricket boards are looking to expand the capacity of existing stadiums along with building some new ones.
The Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) is currently the biggest cricket stadium in the world with a seating capacity of 100,024 while several Indian grounds also feature the top ten list.
The Motera Cricket Stadium in Gujrat is being rebuilt with an aim to make it the biggest in the world. With a seating capacity of 49,000 previously, the Gujrat Cricket Association (GCA) has decided to overhaul the stadium completely.
The vice-president of the GCA posted pictures of the ongoing work at the stadium as he revealed that the project would be the biggest in the world i.e., even bigger than the MCG.
