Pakistan’s middle-order batsman, Haris Sohail will undergo rehabilitation program at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Lahore from next week to nurse an injury in his right knee which recurred during a three-day practice match against Cricket South Africa Invitation XI.

The 30-year-old has repeatedly had issues with his right knee throughout his career and the most recent setback ruled him out of the Test series in South Africa that concludes with the third match beginning on January 11.

Haris was dejected by the recurrence of his knee injury which cost him an opportunity to play against South Africa in the Test series. However, he is now ready to undergo a rehabilitation program and come back with his team as soon as possible.

“It is never a great feeling to abort an international tour due to an injury. It was actually heart-breaking as I was looking forward to the Tests until I had a recurrence during my innings of 73 not out against Cricket South Africa Invitation XI in the build-up to the Centurion Test,” Haris said.

He also strongly negated the false rumors that have been circulating in the media regarding his mysterious injury.
