While most of the fans stepped into the year 2019 with the hope of seeing their team lifting the glorious trophy of the Cricket World Cup, England fans are also longing for a victory in the mouth-watering Ashes series.
England’s recent run in the world cricket has been admirable and former England captain Nasser Hussain is acknowledging the supremacy of the English team as he predicted them as favorites to win both World Cup and the Ashes series.
However, the Chennai born cricketer advised the cricket board to keep their players fresh for the World Cup event which will be hosted by England and Wales.
“I see England as favorites for both (Ashes and World Cup), but they’re only going to win if everyone’s fresh and raring to go. And if that means players missing, say, the Test against Ireland in May, or a one-dayer or two against Pakistan, so be it,” said by the 50-year old.
