The gradual resumption of international cricket in Pakistan is great news for the cricket-deprived fans in the country. Further enhancing this process, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is making efforts to convince Cricket Australia (CA) to send its team for a couple of limited-overs matches in Pakistan.

Meanwhile, Aussie skipper Aaron Finch has given a positive response when asked about his thoughts on touring Pakistan provided safety concerns are overcome. “The passion their fans have got and just the amount of fans ... (there are) some pretty empty stadiums in the UAE. Anytime there’s cricket back in Pakistan, they’re swinging from the rafters to get a seat,” he said.

Similarly, left-handed batsman Usman Khawaja has also claimed that he is open to touring Pakistan if the board permits. “I was born in Pakistan so it won’t be too different for me but it’s still a while away and we’ve (now) got three big games against the best nation in the world,” the 32-year-old said.
