Pakistan is gearing up to finalize their squad for the ICC Cricket World Cup which will be hosted by England and Wales. The ODI series against South Africa, Australia and England will help them to pick an ideal squad for the mouth-watering tournament.

Former Pakistan batsman Mohammad Yousuf has shared his views to strengthen the batting department of the green shirts.

The 44-year old who has been a staunch supporter of the middle-order batsman Asad Shafiq believes that Pakistan has mishandled him in ODI cricket and they need to have a senior batsman like Asad in their squad.

“Asad Shafiq should be included in the squad for the World Cup. He has never been given consistent chances and was the first one to get dropped after one or two ODI games. He should be given a consistent run in six to seven games in a row and if he fails, then dropping him would be justified,” said by the Lahore born.
