The Pakistan Test team has struggled in the series against South Africa as the batsmen have not been able to support the bowlers in any game, leading to several batting collapses at crucial moments.
Babar Azam and Shan Masood have been the two consistent batsmen for Pakistan as they have tried to challenge the host bowlers in all games.
Babar has been in sublime touch in Test cricket of late as he has scored 6 half centuries in as many games. The stylish young batsman missed out on a big batting record in the first innings of the Johannesburg Test as he got out on 49 and could not register his 7th half century in 7 Test matches.
Had he been able to take that one run, Babar would have become only the 3rd Pakistani batsman to achieve the feat after former captain Misbah-ul-Haq and Mushtaq Muhammad.
