Indian wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant has made a great start to his Test career as his responsible batting with the lower order and glovework behind the stumps has impressed everyone.
After having a successful Test series against Australia, Pant might have cemented his place in the side as he scored the second highest number of runs in the series after Cheteshwar Pujara.
Former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh feels that the youngster has a glimpse of former Aussie wicket-keeper Adam Gilchrist who was not only known for his flamboyant batting but also for his brilliant keeping skills.
“Rishabh Pant has that X-factor in him, which Adam Gilchrist had. He has the potential to hit six sixes...I am not talking about six sixes in an over but if he plays 30 balls he has the ability to hit at least six sixes, which can be game-changing,” he said.
Moreover, Harbhajan also feels that Pant should be in the Indian squad for the World Cup even if he has to be played as a batsman.
