South African conditions were always meant to test the shaky batting unit of Pakistan which hasn’t done well in recent times, but the batters seem to ignore all the lessons from the defeats as they kept on making same mistakes to lose wickets at crucial situations of the game.
Makhaya Ntini, former South African, paceman recently shared his take on Pakistan’s nemesis in an exclusive interview to Cricingif.
The 41-year old was found criticizing the batting department of green shirts for not putting up a good fight. He highlighted the overs played by Pakistan in all their innings as he advised them to stay patient and bat for longer periods.
“One clear thing is that the Pakistani batters are not even playing the 50 overs. The only time they did so, you could see the benefit as they posted a decent total on the scoreboard. However, they went back to their old method as they failed again in the first innings of the Johannesburg Test. This tells a lot to us,” said by the Cape Town born player.
