The ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 is set to begin on 30 May later this year in England and Wales. All sides are engaged in preparation for the prestigious tournament, avidly settling on the right combination to pick for the World Cup.
As the WC draws nearer, cricket pundits are also revealing their choices for the favourites of the tournament. Former legendary swing bowler Wasim Akram has tipped India as the most well-balanced team who are in the strongest position to lift the WC trophy. Meanwhile, he has also highlighted Pakistan’s unpredictability in springing up a surprise in the global event.
“Among the teams that are involved in the cricket World Cup, Pakistan have always been an outfit that people loved to watch and follow. You can never write them off. India look firm favourites for me. New Zealand are the dark hoses, but Pakistan are right up there,” he opined.
