Veteran bowler Mohammad Asif is counted among the best bowlers ever produced by the Pakistani soil and was recently eulogized by the greats of the game. However, the heinous activities of past have pushed him far away from the national team.
This obviously hasn’t gone down well with the 36-year old pacer who feels that he is being mistreated despite performing exceedingly well in the domestic cricket. Representing Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA), Asif has provided a glimpse of his brilliance. He wasn’t able to do well in the One Day Cup, but claiming 18 wickets at 17.61 in four first-class games, the Sheikhupura born cricketer reminded everyone of his prowess.
Carrying the return of Mohammad Amir in mind, Asif has shown dissatisfaction on the way his case is being handled. The wily quick believes that the cricket board and the selectors should look into his report card and not adopt the double standards.
