The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has been working tirelessly to revive international cricket in the country and give the fans the best possible viewing experience at their iconic cricket stadiums.
In an effort to do so, the PCB had requested Cricket Australia (CA) to play some part of the ODI series against Pakistan at the latter’s home. However, after much consideration and consultation with the government authorities, CA has declined the proposal to play in Pakistan.
Chairman PCB Ehsan Mani revealed in his press conference that the Australian board has refused to visit Pakistan due to security concerns of their government. He expressed disappointment over the refusal, but he still feels that international cricket would come back to Pakistan very soon.
However, reports suggest that the security team from Australia would visit Pakistan soon for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in order to monitor the arrangements and overall cricket environment.
