Sohail Akhtar is one of the fascinating stories of the much cherished Pakistan Super League (PSL). The stalwart was pulled back into the competitive cricket by Lahore Qalandars head coach Aqib Javed after he witnessed the batting skills of the all-rounder and then was picked in last edition of the tournament.
Managing a decent show in the last season of Pakistan’s showpiece event, Sohail is adamant to produce strong results for Lahore Qalandars in PSL-4. Sharing his ambitions, the flamboyant batsman made it clear that contributing towards team’s success would always stay ahead of the individual goals for him.
However, the 32-year old player hoped to earn the best batsman award of the upcoming season of Pakistan’s biggest cricketing gala. The Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) player also reviewed Lahore’s chances as he believes that this year’s combination is good enough to bag the much awaited victory and restore smile back on the faces of the die-hard fans of Lahore. The belligerent cricketer is expected to roll into action on the opening day of the tournament against defending champions Islamabad United on February 14.
