Corey Anderson, the belligerent all-rounder of New Zealand, is one of the International cricket heavyweights making their debut in this year’s edition of the much celebrated Pakistan Super League (PSL).
The 28-year old cricketer who is known for his batting prowess will be seen representing Lahore Qalandars. Carrying a strike-rate in excess of 140, Corey has all the skills to demolish any bowling line-up. Furthermore, his handy bowling skills can be extremely useful on the slow tracks of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Anderson understands the disappointments Lahore’s fans received in the three previous seasons of the iconic T20 tournament of Pakistan. However, the Christchurch born player believes that the team can turn it around in the forthcoming season of the competition.
Sharing his views for Lahore Qalandars and Pakistan’s showpiece event, the flamboyant striker said, “We have changed a few things and have a great squad with guys like Mohammad Hafeez, AB de Villiers, Fakhar Zaman, Carlos Brathwaite, Rahat Ali and Sandeep Lamichhane to name a few. I am hoping this can be our year and we can reward the Qalandars fans by lifting the trophy this year.”
