Pakistan head coach Mickey Arthur started working with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in 2016 after having a decent season with the Karachi Kings (KK) as their coach for the inaugural edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
After being appointed as the head coach of Pakistan national side, Mickey has guided the side to numerous triumphs as the Champions Trophy title in 2017 tops the list.
In a recent interview, Arthur revealed that his love affair with Pakistan cricket started with the PSL as the prospect of having so may talented players excited him.
“This tournament is fantastic; I said that in year one and this is where I started my love affair with Pakistan cricket. The tournament is outstanding, the talent is outstanding, it allows the players to perform under pressure on a big stage so I’m pretty sure that we will get another name coming out that we can tap into,” he added.
Arthur has said that he would keep an eye on the emerging players in this year’s tournament as they might get a chance to play in the Australia series in case of good performances.
