Asif Ali has been in sublime touch with the bat off late as he has won several games for Islamabad United during the ongoing edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). The master blaster was at it again in a recent fixture against Lahore Qalandars (LQ) as he made a swift contribution to team’s victory.
Asif scored the joint fastest half century of the PSL as he only took 17 balls to achieve the milestone on a night when the bowlers seemed helpless. He hit 3 fours and 6 maximums during his 21-ball innings which ended with a staggering strike rate of almost 262.
Asif equaled the record of Peshawar Zalmi’s Kamran Akmal who achieved the feat last year against the Karachi Kings (KK) in Lahore.
