The Indian cricket team has not been able to put up dominant performances in the ODI series against Australia as no batsman other than Virat Kohli has scored runs consistently. The form of some of the key players is a cause concern for the management with the World Cup coming up.
Former Sri Lankan bowling great, Muttiah Muralitharan has urged the Indian fans to have patience as a team cannot have 11 match-winners.
“You will win some games and you will also lose a few. Otherwise, every team must be filled with 11 Kohlis or Sachin Tendulkars or Don Bradmans, but that cannot happen,” he said.
Muralitharan was quite critical of the Indian team’s performance as he said that they are currently doing really well and a bad day once in a blue moon should not raise questions regarding the team’s capability to win game in all conditions.
