The epitome of express pace bowling, Peshawar Zalmi bowler Wahab Riaz has been in fiery form in this season’s HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL). Consistently wreaking havoc against the opposing sides, the left-armer has been able to generate great bite off the batting-friendly surfaces to render even the most attacking batsmen ineffective.
The leading wicket-taker in PSL history, Wahab has used all his experience to master the art of death overs bowling, mixing up his deliveries with unplayable yorkers and deceptive slower variations. This makes it extremely challenging to score off his bowling, evident by his excellent record at the fag-end of the innings.
At a stage when bowling figures of most pacers tends to take a hit, Wahab has been on top of his game, going for just a run a ball across the 15 overs he has bowled this season in the overs 16-20. He has thus given away only 6 boundaries during this period of overs, proving to be an invaluable asset for his side.
