Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators always provide the fans with exhilarating matches and yesterday's encounter was surely one of them. The two table toppers of the PSL-4 were up against each other at the iconic National Stadium of Karachi in the Qualifier.
Zalmi invited the Gladiators to bat first and Shane Watson thoroughly obliged as he scored a magnificent 71 smacking the Zalmi bowlers to all parts of the ground.
Young local boy Ahsan Ali also helped Watson in a significant partnership as he scored 46 valuable runs taking his team to a huge total of 186-6.
In reply, the Zalmis kept on losing wickets at regular intervals until Kieron Pollard and Daren Sammy decided to fight till the last ball.
Sammy's 46 and Pollard's quickfire 44 couldn't win the match for Peshawar as Shane Watson defended 21 runs in the last over though he's not regular at bowling these days.
Quetta Gladiators were short of a bowler after Imam's straight drive struck Fawad Ahmed on the face and the leg-spinner was taken to the hospital immediately.
