The upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) might not be a platform for players to make a case for the World Cup squad, according to Virat Kohli, but it would still unearth some exciting players who could play for India in the future.
Shivam Dube is one such player who has a strong reputation of being a powerful striker of the ball and his inclusion in the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) would be critical for him to get close to team India since he would be led by Kohli there.
The 25-year old left-hander is often compared to Yuvraj Singh and he does not mind the comparisons as he wants to adopt some of his traits in his career.
“It feels really good when you are compared with a legend like Yuvraj Singh. I will be happy if I can have some percentage of his qualities in my career. I want to be a good player like him,” he said.
Moreover, the youngster also said that he looks up to former South African all-rounder Jacques Kallis who is undoubtedly one of the greatest all-rounders in history.
