The end of the glitzy Pakistan Super League (PSL) would bring the commencement of the highly celebrated Indian Premier League (IPL) for the cricket junkies. Kings XI Punjab is one of the franchises which were never able to bag a title. Despite carrying strong squads, the franchise faltered in the pressure moments.
Even in the last season, Kings XI Punjab started the tournament in a grand manner but ran out of gas soon to be thrown out of the race. This year, the exciting franchise is coming up with a new hashtag called ‘Sadda Punjab’ which has electrified the head coach Mike Hesson.
The 44-year old believes that encompassing the essence of the area you represent is critical to install a different level of thrill and confidence in the players. Moreover, the Otago born is confident of producing a strong show in the upcoming T20 tournament of India.
“Sadda Punjab means our Punjab. We are representing the Punjab area, we’re proud to have a number of Punjabi players within our squad. I think it’s important when you try to build a culture, build a team that actually represents an area, so Sadda Punjab is so important to us, as a squad, as Kings XI Punjab,” said by Mike Hesson.
